SuccessFactors Employee Central has released two new country versions in Q3 2015 release - KENYA and NIGERIA. In total 73 country versions are now available for Employee Central.

With the introduction of these new country versions as well as the localized country versions, which are already available, for South Africa and South Sudan, we continue the strategic approach to expand the localization scope for Employee Central on the African continent.

Why Nigeria and Kenya?

With a population of about 173 million people, Nigeria is the largest country in Africa and accounts for 47% of West Africa's population. It is also the biggest oil exporter in Africa, with the largest natural gas reserves in the continent. Given these large reserves of human and natural resources, the country has significant potential to build a prosperous economy characterized by rapid economic growth.

The Kenya Economic Update for March 2015 from the Worldbank says Kenya is emerging as one of the Africa's key growth centers and is als poised to become one of the fastest growing economies in East Africa. The momentum for growth is expected to be sustained by a stable macroeconomic environment, exports and regional integration.

Taking these facts into account and responding to customer requests we are glad to introduce the country versions for Kenya and Nigeria. Employee master data can now be maintained according to country-specific  requirements for example, national ID, personal document types, disability information, and work permit information.

To implement the country versions for Kenya and Nigeria you just go the the SuccessFactors Upgrade Center in the Admin Center and activate Kenya or Nigeria by clicking "Upgrade Now". Country-specific fields are uploaded immediately and can be filled.
